This Privacy Policy explains what information TempMail.cc (the "Service") collects, why, how long it is kept, and the choices you have. The short version: the Service is designed to collect as little as technically possible.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information you do NOT provide. The Service requires no registration, name, phone number, or payment details. We never ask for personal information to generate a temporary email address.

b. Temporary email content. Emails sent to a temporary address you are using are received and stored on our servers only until you reload the page or the session expires, after which they are automatically and permanently deleted. They are not backed up, sold, or shared.

c. Server logs. Like virtually all web services, our servers keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and requested URLs) for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. Logs are rotated and deleted on a routine schedule.

d. Local storage in your browser. Your chosen temporary address is stored in your browser's localStorage so it survives page reloads. This data stays on your device and never leaves it except as part of the normal connection to the Service. Clearing your browser data removes it.

e. Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the Service (pages visited, session duration, general region). IP addresses are anonymized. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or any standard ad/tracker blocker.

f. Advertising. If advertising is displayed, ad providers may use cookies or similar technologies subject to their own privacy policies. You can typically control this via your browser settings or industry opt-out tools.

2. How We Use Information

• To deliver emails to the temporary address you are using;
• To operate, maintain, and secure the Service and its infrastructure;
• To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, attacks, and unlawful activity;
• To measure aggregate usage and improve the Service.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We do not build advertising profiles ourselves.

3. What the Service Is NOT For

Temporary inboxes are public by nature: anyone who knows or guesses the address can read it. Please do not use the Service for confidential communications, account recovery for important services, financial or medical information, or anything you would not want a stranger to read.

4. Data Retention

• Emails: deleted automatically when the page is reloaded or the session expires — there is no long-term storage;
• Server logs: retained for a short rotation period, then deleted;
• Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics' default retention settings.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Service itself does not require cookies to function. Third parties (analytics or advertising providers) may set cookies as described above. You may block or delete cookies in your browser; the core features of the Service will continue to work.

6. Third-Party Processing

Email delivery inherently involves third-party mail servers sending messages to us on your behalf. Google Analytics and any advertising providers act as independent processors under their own policies. We do not otherwise share your information with third parties except where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Service, its users, or the public.

7. Security

We apply reasonable technical measures (such as encrypted connections, sandboxed rendering of email content, security headers, and traffic rate limiting) to protect the Service. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and temporary email is inherently non-confidential. Use the Service accordingly.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Service, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Because the Service stores essentially no personal data, most of these rights are satisfied by design: there is nothing to access or delete beyond what your own browser stores. 10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
